2013 AFRICA TRIP

Bridge of Hope - Kenya Trip

Where: Nyaharuru, Kenya: This small town is three hours north-west of Nairobi. It sits directly on the equator at 7,900 feet in elevation.

When: July 15 - 27

Mission: We work with two children's homes. One has been established for six years, the other for only six months. The children range in age from six months to seventeen years old. All these children grew up on the streets, have been rescued and now have a home. But they still do not have the most basic needs such as proper food, clothing, shoes, beds, or a place to bathe. We will be working to help in all these areas by planting gardens, constructing beds, and providing clothes for them. We will be working with the children and building relationships with them as well--relationships that will hopefully last a lifetime.

Purpose: To show these children that they are loved by God and by us. To let them know that they have family all over the world. To provide for their most important basic needs.
